The Trend VDV II Voice, Data & Video Cable Verifier with AnyWARE Cloud R158007 is a versatile instrument designed for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data, voice, and video cabling. With integrated RJ11/RJ12 (voice), RJ45 (data), and F-Type (video) connectors, this cable verifier allows testing of most types of low voltage cables without the need for separate testers.
The Trend VDV II is compatible with the free AnyWARE mobile app, which enables real-time storage of test results and easy upload to AnyWARE Cloud. From the field, users can generate professional PDF reports to send to customers and colleagues. The app also allows users to attach photos to test results for inclusion in reports.
With free unlimited data storage and continuous backup, users can securely store test results without worrying about data loss. AnyWARE Cloud is accessible through web browsers on PC, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS devices.
The VDV II performs tests for misfires, opens, shorts, and split pairs, and can test UTP and STP cabling. It features an analogue tone generator for tracing cables and offers voltage protection with cable testing disabled if >2V is detected.
Furthermore, the VDV II quickly identifies the media type running over the cable, including Ethernet, ISDN, PBX, and PoE, providing fast fault diagnosis. The port blink function allows users to identify the switch port to which the cable is connected.
