The Trend VDV II Plus Voice, Data & Video Cable Verifier with AnyWARE Cloud R158008 allows for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data, voice, and video cabling. Complete with Coax (F-Type), 6 Pin (RJ11/12), and 8 Pin (RJ45) connectors for verification of low voltage copper cables, the Trend VDV II Plus performs a number of tests for Miswires, Opens, Shorts, and Split pairs, with further testing for UTP and STP cabling with support for all common LAN cables (TIA 568A/B wiring). The large 2.9″ backlit display shows test results instantly on the screen. The 0.3 to 450m length range helps to check the integrity of copper cables.
The VDV II offers voltage protection with cable testing disabled should <2V be detected, offering audible and visual warnings to prevent damage to the tester. The unit provides Media Service Detection by identifying analogue (PBX) and digital (ISDN) telephone services.
Trend AnyWARE App and Cloud
The Trend VDV II Plus is compatible with the free AnyWARE mobile app where test results can be stored in real time and then uploaded to AnyWARE Cloud with a simple push of a button where users can generate professional PDF reports to send to customers and colleagues. The Trend VDV II Plus allows users to attach photos to test results, allowing these to be included in any reports generated.
With free unlimited data storage and continuous backup, users are able to store test results without the worry of losing data. The Cloud runs in a web browser that is compatible with PC, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS.
The analog tone generator of the VDV II Plus offers multiple tones which can be used with most analog tracing probes when finding faulty or mislabeled cabling. The port blink function on the unit will identify the switch port that the cable is connected to.
The Trend VDV II Plus is battery operated and is enclosed in a robust and rugged outer shell, with an included carry case offering further protection.
