The horizontal force measuring stand has a force range of 500 N. It is designed for checking the tensile strengths of large or elastic test objects with a travel of 270 mm. The travel speed can be precisely set in 1 mm/min steps between 1… 500 mm/min. This measuring stand is commonly used in the quality inspection of foils, rubber bands, or ropes.
The travel speed and travel mode can be easily adjusted on the horizontal force measuring stand. In manual mode, the stand moves only when the travel button is pressed. In automatic mode, it moves automatically until the clamping device reaches a limit switch, at which point it stops automatically.
The horizontal force measuring stand allows you to set limit switches according to your requirements, enabling you to limit the travel path as needed. This feature offers several advantages, such as preventing the measuring device from moving into the chuck and allowing for the definition of the tensile length during a tensile test, depending on the application.
In addition to the Universal Testing Machine, PCE Instruments also offers compatible force measurement systems that can be mounted on the horizontal force measuring stand. Various chucks are available as options for different test tasks, providing versatility and allowing for a wide range of measuring tasks to be carried out with a single measuring system.
