Description
The Surface Tester has a measuring range of 0 … 2000 µm. It can measure the thickness of coatings on both ferrous (Fe) and non-ferrous (NFe) metals. The coating thickness gauge has a measuring function based on SSPC standards, allowing for analysis of the corrosion protection of a coating.
The Group function stores measured values directly on the Surface Tester. It has a memory of 50 groups with 50 measurements each, and creates statistics for all measured values. Measurement data and statistics can be accessed after a measurement run.
For further analysis, the Surface Tester can be connected to a PC using a micro-USB interface. The accompanying software allows for data transfer, live measurements, and export of measured values in CSV and XLS formats.
In addition to coating thickness measurement, the Surface Tester can measure the temperature and humidity of the environment. This information helps determine whether the climatic conditions are suitable for further processing of the coating.
The Surface Tester also features a V-groove, which enables measurement of coating thickness on items such as pipes. It can be optionally equipped with an ISO calibration certificate.
