Description
The PCE-VC21 is a portable shaker vibration calibrator that is used for calibrating vibration sensors, meters, analyzers, and testers. It is capable of calibrating equipment weighing up to 600 g (1.32 lb) and can generate mechanical vibrations with adjustable quartz-stabilized vibration frequencies ranging from 15.92 to 1280 Hz. The calibrator also has adjustable vibration amplitudes between 1 m/s² and 20 m/s².
The PCE-VC21 features load-independent vibration magnitude with 7 adjustable vibration frequencies and 5 adjustable vibration amplitudes. This allows for the calibration of low-frequency vibration sensors in accordance with DIN 4150-3 and ISO 8041 specifications.
The calibrator utilizes a control circuit and reference accelerometer inside the excitation or shaker head to maintain a constant vibration level. The device has a display that indicates the error percentage (%), which represents the deviation of the measured amplitude from the target value. An audible alert is sounded if the error limit exceeds 3%. The calibrator also automatically switches off in case of overload. Sensors can be connected via magnet or thread, and a thread adapter is included in the delivery contents to accommodate various thread sizes.
The PCE-VC21 is designed for both field and laboratory use, and it offers features such as a built-in rechargeable battery, automatic power-off function, battery charge indicator, and AC power adapter for charging. It comes with a carrying case for convenient handling and safe transport.
The key features of the PCE-VC21 are:
– Adjustable vibration frequencies and amplitudes (RMS)
– Ideal for low-frequency calibration (DIN 415-3 and ISO 8041)
– Supports vibration acceleration, velocity, and displacement calibration
– Load-independent vibration magnitude
– Display shows frequency, amplitude, error percentage (%), and date of last calibration
– Sounds an alert if error limit is exceeded
– Suitable for laboratory and field use
