Description
The Outdoor Decibel Meter PCE-428-EKIT is a class II sound level meter that is suitable for measuring noise levels outdoors. It is commonly used for measurements at workplaces, construction sites, in traffic, airports, etc. This decibel meter is equipped with an octave band frequency filter and can optionally be upgraded with a 1/3 octave band filter. It can display the measured value numerically as well as graphically. The meter has different frequency ratings (A, B, C, Z) and can analyze sound using the Fast, Slow, Pulse, and Peak time estimates. The measuring range is from 25 to 136 dB at frequencies ranging from 20 Hz to 12.5 kHz. The meter can store 3 different measuring profiles, allowing users to choose the parameters to record. It is also equipped with a peak hold function to record the maximum sound pressure level during long-term measurements. With a 24-bit AD converter and specially developed electronics, the meter reduces inherent noise to a low level, ensuring accuracy and stability of the measured values. The PCE-4xx-EKIT is an additional kit that can be combined with the PCE-428, 430, or PCE-432 sound level meters. This kit allows for long-term outdoor noise measurement and includes a waterproof carrying case, charger, and two additional lead gel batteries. The case can remain closed during measurements, protecting the electronic components from water. The kit also includes rain and wind protection, a wire mesh for the microphone, and a waterproof charger. With this kit, the sound level meter can be used for various applications, such as measuring road, aircraft, and train noise, and is not affected by weather conditions. When combined with the PCE-432 decibel meter, the exact location of the sound level metering around the outdoor area can be assigned using a GPS receiver.
