The sound dosimeter (badge type) is designed for measuring noise exposure in workplaces and complies with the IEC 61252:2002 standard. It has a measuring range of 70 … 140 dB and frequency weighting options of A, B, and Z. The noise dose meter offers selectable time weighting modes, including fast, slow, and impulse. It has a built-in 470 mAh battery that provides a runtime of >15 hours.

Up to three virtual noise dose meters can be set in a noise dose meter (badge type), allowing simultaneous measurements according to different standards. The sound dosimeter’s display shows up to 14 individually adjustable measurement windows.

Data transfer from the sound dosimeter (badge type) to a PC is done directly through the charging station. Measurement data can be read and analyzed using the software provided. Additionally, all noise dose meter settings can be configured through the software. The charging stations can be coupled with each other, allowing multiple sound dosimeters to be charged from a single power pack. Up to four sound dosimeters can be charged simultaneously per power supply.

For optimal support and positioning, the sound dosimeter (badge type) is attached to the work clothing of the employee using two crocodile clips. The recommended distance between the noise dose meter and the wearer’s ears is between 10 and 15 cm (3.9 and 5.9 inches).
