The gloss meter PCE-IGM 60 is an optical measuring instrument with a 60° measurement geometry. It analyzes the surface and displays the result. Every surface has the ability to reflect light, which the gloss meter takes advantage of by shining light onto the surface at a 60° angle. Most of the transmitted light penetrates the surface, while the remaining light particles are reflected. By analyzing the reflected light, the gloss meter calculates the gloss value of the surface.
The measured values can be directly stored on the gloss meter and later retrieved and analyzed using the provided software. The gloss meter’s measuring range up to 2000 measurement points allows for the measurement of a wide variety of surfaces.
