Description
The PCE-ITE 50 is a sturdy Electrical Tester with a large 3.5″ color TFT LCD display. It provides various measuring modes such as insulation resistance, grounding resistance, loop impedance, voltage, low-impedance measurement, and RCD test. Additionally, it offers a camera function for documenting measurements with suitable photos. This Electrical Tester ensures the safe and correct installation of fixed systems. The dual display, intuitive symbols, and high viewing angle make it convenient and efficient to perform measurements. The low-resistance measurement capability allows for checking grounding conductors, potential equalization rails, and protective conductors for low impedance.
The Electrical Tester features a low-resistance measurement range of 0 – 2000 Ω with a resolution of 0.001 – 1 Ω. One of its most important measurements is insulation resistance, which involves placing electrical cables under voltage to detect fault currents that may cause material migration or heat. These fault currents are often too small to be detected by protective devices and can potentially lead to fires. The Electrical Tester can perform installation measurements with a test voltage of 125V, 250V, 500V, or 1000V, using a load current of 1 mA. It operates independently of the mains supply. To ensure a common potential and protect against short-circuit currents and overvoltages, it is recommended to have a low-impedance earthing resistor. With a measurement range of 0 … 2000 Ω and a resolution of 0.01 … 1 Ω, the Electrical Tester meets the requirements for meaningful grounding resistance measurements.
