The earth tester / earth resistance meter is a versatile ohmmeter. With this grounding meter, various resistance measurements can be performed. The grounding meter allows for both 2-pole and 4-pole resistance measurements. It also has the capability to measure the resistance of the soil. The grounding meter comes with earth spikes which can easily be connected to the grounding device using the provided 20 meter / 66 ft cable.
Another important function of the meter is to measure the resistance of lightning conductors. This measurement is crucial for ensuring that lightning conductors are properly grounded and have the correct resistance value to safely discharge lightning strikes.
To ensure accurate measurements, the meter has a measuring terminal detection. The terminals to be used light up when the desired measurement function is selected, and the meter alerts the user both visually and acoustically if an incorrect connection is detected. This helps prevent faulty measurements. The meter also has a memory function, allowing measurement data to be transferred to a PC for analysis.
