Description
The PCE-HT-75 hardness tester for concrete is easy to use and is commonly used in the construction industry and other industrial sectors (testing for Wickel hardness of rolls in commodities). This concrete hardness tester is based on the Swiss principle of measurement and operates with a constant test energy of 0.735 J. The rebound kinetic energy is used as the measurement of concrete hardness, pressure on the surface, or resistance to pressure (kg/cm² or N/mm²).
Concrete quality indicates its resistance to pressure, serving as an indicator for testing load capacity and durability of concrete structures. Resistance to pressure is represented by a series of numbers and letters, e.g. B 25 represents normal concrete with a resistance of 25 N/mm². Readings go up to the highest resistance class, B 55. Our hardness tester allows for easy and accurate classification of concrete. The device comes calibrated by the manufacturer and an optional ISO calibration certificate can be ordered separately for an extra cost.
– Solid design
– Special check body for numerous concrete tests

General information about concrete’s resistance to pressure
Resistance to pressure is the measure of resistance to breaking under a specific pressure load at a particular axis over a short period of time. The factors considered when determining the resistance to pressure of concrete are:
– Resistance of the cement block
– Composition and compactness of concrete
– Storage time and conditions
– Size and shape of the tested element
– Type and duration of the load
Resistance to pressure is typically determined in laboratories using concrete cubes or cylinders. When using cylinders, it is recommended to prepare a flat and smooth surface immediately after the concrete sample is chosen. Cylinders are highly durable. In situations where laboratory methods for measurements are not feasible, a hardness tester with an easy-to-use hammer is used.
