Description
PCE-CT 5000H is a device used to measure coating thicknesses on ferrous (Type F) and non-ferrous (Type N) metals. It automatically detects the type of metal being measured and uses magnetic induction (for ferrous metals) or eddy current (for non-ferrous metals) to take non-destructive measurements. This device is ideal for testing painted and powder-coated surfaces, automotive paint inspection, coated material testing, and quality control in manufacturing. It can notify the user if a coating is too thick or too thin through programmable alarm limits. The measurements can be displayed in μm, mm, or mils and up to 2000 measurements can be saved to the internal memory. The device features a practical V-groove on the measuring head for easy use and offers one- to four-point and zero calibration. It is designed for comfortable one-handed operation and has a high measuring range and accuracy. It also has an automatic shutdown feature and an optional ISO calibration certificate can be purchased separately.
