The automotive tester has a measuring range of 0 … 2000 µm. The tester can measure the coating thickness on ferrous (Fe) and non-ferrous (NFe) metals. For a more detailed analysis, the tester has a measuring function based on SSPC standards, which allows for checking the corrosion protection of coatings.
The Group function stores the measured values directly on the tester. It has a memory capacity of 50 groups, with each group able to hold 50 measurements. Statistics are generated for all measured values from the automotive tester within each group. After a measurement run, all measurement data and statistics can be retrieved.
For further analysis, the tester can be connected to a PC via the micro-USB interface. The software enables the transfer of measurement data from the tester to a PC. The software also allows for live measurements with the tester. Measurement values from the automotive tester can be exported in CSV and XLS formats for further processing.
In addition to coating thickness measurement, the automotive tester can also measure the temperature and humidity of the environment. This functionality helps determine whether the climate conditions are suitable for further coating processes.
With the V-groove feature, the automotive tester can also determine the coating thickness of pipes and other similar objects. An ISO calibration certificate is available as an optional feature for the tester.
