The automotive tester has a measuring range of 0 … 2000 µm. It can measure the coating thickness on ferrous (Fe) and non-ferrous (NFe) metals. The tester also includes a measuring function based on the SSPC standards for better analysis of the measurements. This function allows checking the corrosion protection of a coating.
The Group function stores the measured values directly on the tester. It has a memory of 50 groups with 50 measurements each. For each group, statistics are created for all measured values. All measurement data and statistics can be recalled after a measurement run.
For further analysis of the measured values, the tester can be connected to a PC via the micro-USB interface. The software allows transferring the measurement data from the tester to a PC. Live measurements can also be carried out using the software. The measured values can be exported in CSV and XLS format for further processing.
In addition to coating thickness measurement, the tester can also measure the temperature and humidity of the environment. This allows determining whether the climatic conditions are suitable for further processing on the coating.
The tester can also determine the coating thickness of pipes using the V-groove. An ISO calibration certificate is optional for the tester.
