PCE-ATP 1 is an ATP tester used for surface testing in food safety and hygiene. It allows for fast and easy first-generation adenosine triphosphate (ATP) testing to ensure proper cleanliness, sterilization, and sanitization. This ATP tester can be used for cleanliness control and documentation in various applications.

Basic operation

Use PCE-ATP SWAB (sold separately – see accessories) to take a sample of the surface to be tested. Press the swab into the tube to ensure contact with the reaction liquid and reagent. Shake the tube to fully cover the sample. Insert the test tube into the measuring chamber of the PCE-ATP 1 ATP tester. After 10 seconds, the measurement results are shown in relative light units (RLUs) on the ATP tester display.

More Information about ATP Tester

Monitoring hygienic conditions is crucial, especially in the food industry. Customers expect clean and safe products without contamination or health risks. For food enterprises, consistent complaints about product quality can damage their reputation and lead to financial losses.

A new method for quick and efficient detection of ATP helps determine surface cleanliness, evaluate risks, and address existing issues. ATP tester reveals invisible bacteria that can cause serious consequences if not eliminated.

ATP is present in every living microorganism, cell, and food. Its level indicates surface contamination with certain foodstuffs, whether within permissible limits or exceeding them.

In most cases, production and products are not isolated. The total value of ATP to be analyzed is a collective value from various sources in the environment.

The ATP tester is widely used in the food industry, including brewery and beverage production, fish and meat processing, vegetable and fruit processing, catering, and baby food production. It is a portable and reliable device.

An ATP tester is easy to operate, providing immediate results for on-site analysis. It helps detect food residue on surfaces, indicating the need for cleaning before production. It can also be used for testing water and liquids.

The ATP tester design minimizes the influence of disinfecting agents on the measurement results. The relative light unit (RLU) measurement is based on the intensity of light emitted during the reaction between ATP and luciferase-luciferin. Higher measurement values indicate a higher bacteria presence.

There are no strict limits for all food categories. Factors such as food processing and consumer characteristics determine ATP levels. An ATP monitor helps safeguard lives.
